Instead it seems that Value City and Glen have a script ready to tell the "small percentage of people" that they fell into the group where the customers do not matter.
He also mentioned that this happens to a small percentage of people who never receive their order on time. I work in an industry where you have to be proactive and not reactive. If the same situation happens every year, wouldn't you prepare and solve the problem for next year?
One of the most disappointing thing anyone can hear is that there sofa is ready for delivery but won't get shipped out anytime soon. Apparently this is a reoccurring issue with Value City and they rather disappoint then deliver the best service to their customers.
When I spoke to the manager Glen, he didn't seem to have any remorse/sympathy to my dilemma. Rather than managing the situation he just kept eluding that he has no control over the situation. And would rather end the call by giving me some small compensation. As that would even come close to not having a sofa to host my family for the holidays.

the women who helped me was great very nice. and helpful great to deal with. pricing was a little more then i planned to spend being i was a repeat customer spent some money there the first time and now this time. i am pleased with the customer service the pricing is a little high
